One of the fastest ways to calm the nervous system it through slow, intentional breathing.
Try this simple practice:
*Inhale slowly through your nose for 4 seconds
*Hold for 2 seconds
*Exhale gently though your mouth for 6 seconds
*Repeat for 1-3 minutes
Even a few rounds can help signal safety to the body.
When the mind feels overwhelmed, grounding can help bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Try the 5-4-3-2-1 technique:
*Notice 5 things you can see
*4 things you can feel
*3 things you can hear
*2 things you can smell
*1 thin you can taste
This practice gently reconnects your mind and body.

Try a quick reset:
*Roll your shoulders slowly
*Stretch your neck side to side
*Unclench your jaw
